Overview: What makes for good mHealth? While we all would like better evidence around what success looks like in mHealth, we must realize that value lies in the eyes of the beholder. In looking at the complete ecosystem for mHealth, it becomes clear that the value of mHealth is dependent on the hat you’re wearing. In this session, we will explore the idea of valuable mHealth from the perspectives of the patient, provider, payer, researcher and regulator. There can be very real and valid reasons why evidence and the methods to demonstrate it should be different in different cases. We also will examine the value proposition. Is there value here that the market does not understand and can’t capture? How might we identify the fugitive value and how might we advance it to improve patient outcomes, improve utilization and reduce costs?
