Value Propositions in mHealth
Tuesday, December 4 - 5:00 - 6:15 PM
Session Overview
There is a boom in investments related to mobile health that often seems to be generated more by perception than actual value. Value is multidimensional and is a complicated combination of evidence, design, usability, uptake and potential return on investment (ROI). For mobile health to truly make an impact on health and healthcare, value must be understood, demonstrated and acted upon.
In October the Robert Wood Johnson brought together a small number of thought leaders to help understand value and ways to generate rational action based upon it. This session will discuss value with a focus on investment, especially in ways that transcend traditional ROI metrics. Opportunities for integrating mHealth value propositions into health and healthcare systems will be included in the discussions.
Session Objectives
- Clarifying value in mHealth
- Actions needed to enhance value
- Developing an investment agenda
