Mapping PMTCT & Mobile Opportunities Through Eyes of the Mother
Tuesday, December 4, 2012 - 5:00 - 6:15 PM
SESSION OVERVIEW
This session will introduce a framework developed by key experts in health, mobile, and technology sectors that highlights mobile phone solutions in strengthening the eMTCT cascade of health services. Created collaboratively with mHealth Alliance, EGPAF, UNICEF, Johnson & Johnson, FROG, and facilitated by a FROG-led team of designers, the PMTCT/mHealth framework identifies four key bottlenecks in which mobile phones can play a role in achieving meaningful health outcomes.
The session will open with a set of panelists at different stages in the technology adoption curve, who will share with you insights from real-time learnings. We will also take you through a gallery walk exercise, with case studies addressing bottleneck areas with mobile solutions. Participants will have an opportunity to speak with implementers of this program and engage in an intimate dialogue of advancing mHealth in eMTCT.
