Getting Old with New Technology

Getting Old with New Technology: mHealth for Managing Aging & Chronic Disease
Wednesday, December 11 - 12:00 - 1:00 PM

Session Overview

People around the world are living longer, giving rise to a quickly burgeoning older population. The number of people over the age of 65 years is expected to grow to 1.5 billion by 2050. Mobile technologies can help ensure that people live not only longer but also healthier lives by offering solutions that can assist in reducing the non-communicable disease burden and delaying the onset of advanced stages of these illnesses. Panelists will share their experiences and identify avenues where mHealth can support healthier aging and the management of chronic diseases.
