Session Overview

This session will describe the program of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation and its sponsorship of 107 awards to innovative projects that deliver services and test new ideas in the Health Care Innovation Awards. Three of the awardees will describe their innovations and how they are used in improving health care and reducing costs. CMMI leadership will then discuss how the projects will be evaluated, how the cost savings are assessed, and under what conditions the Medicare and Medicaid Programs may implement these innovations as part of these programs.
