iMedical Apps Research Award

iMedicalApps and the mHealth Summit are pleased to announce the iMedicalApps mHealth Summit Research Award, to be presented at the 2012 mHealth Summit.  Awards will be given for the best oral and poster presentations.
This award is designed to encourage investigators and companies to engage in scholarly research to develop a strong evidence base in the area of mobile health. Winning candidates will be selected based on the quality of the work presented in the abstract.  Finalists will be expected present in the iMedicalApps Pavilion during the mHealth Summit and to submit an article to iMedicalApps describing their research findings and potential implications of their work on advancing the field of mHealth.


  • Investigators must submit and present the abstract at the mHealth Summit in December 2012, if accepted.
  • The research must pertain to the use of mobile or wireless technologies in the diagnosis or treatment of disease, healthcare profession communication/care coordination, clinician-directed health behavior modification or remote health monitoring.
  • The research must be unpublished and not under consideration for publication in a journal at the time of the conference.
  • Non-research papers are not eligible.


The selection of finalists will be made by selected members of the mHealth Summit Research Track Planning Committee and iMedicalApps editors.


The awards will include recognition in the mHealth Summit proceedings, via newsletter announcement and a feature article on  In addition, the awardees will receive $350 for best oral presentation and $150 for best poster presentation, or if ineligible, the same amount will be donated to One Economy on their behalf.
